Implant treatment may span more than one trip
Dental implants involve surgical healing and restorative planning. Some cases can be organised within one travel period, while others safely require staged visits. No one-trip promise should be made before the implant site, gums, bone, bite and final restoration are assessed.
Before travelling
Share the location of missing teeth, symptoms, treatment history, health conditions, medicines and available records. Provide your realistic travel window. Preliminary discussion can identify questions and possible stages, but remote records cannot confirm final suitability.
At the consultation
The dentist assesses remaining teeth, gums, bite and implant sites and recommends any required imaging. The intended crown, bridge or full-arch restoration is planned with implant position. Existing infection, gum disease, extraction needs or limited bone may change the sequence.
Temporary restorations and healing
A temporary tooth may be discussed for selected cases, but it has functional limits and is not always possible. Healing requirements depend on stability, bone, location, medical factors and additional procedures. Return travel must allow for early review if advised.
Plan follow-up before departure
Ask what maintenance is needed, who to contact about an unexpected symptom and what documentation will be provided. Establish whether restorative stages require a return to Delhi. Explore the implant treatment timeline, the dental tourism guide and Dentoveda's implant treatment service.
